APH Construction was appointed to deliver the full redevelopment of St Andrew’s Church, working closely with the appointed architects and the church’s internal project management team to ensure the build met both structural requirements and the sensitivities of a historic community space.
This was a true end‑to‑end project. Our team handled every stage of the construction process, beginning with the careful demolition of the existing church structure and progressing through all groundworks, foundations, and wall construction, including full cavity wall installation to modern standards.
A key feature of the new building is its glulam beam roof system - a complex structural element that required precision engineering and seamless coordination between our team and the architects. APH managed the full installation of the roof structure, ensuring strength, longevity, and an aesthetic that complements the church’s character.
We also delivered all mechanical works, internal structural elements, and the complete internal build‑up. The project was taken through to a fully plastered finish, followed by complete decoration, ready for immediate use. Today, the church is used every week by the community, exactly as intended.
Throughout the project, APH Construction oversaw all health and safety management, site coordination, and contractor supervision. We acted as the central point of responsibility, ensuring the project ran smoothly, safely, and to the highest professional standards.
The result is a beautifully rebuilt church that blends modern construction quality with the heritage and purpose of the original building - a space the community can rely on for generations.
